Breve Encounters is a small amateur early music group based in Midlothian, Scotland, playing music of the 16th and early 17th centuries and focusing on the chansons (part songs) and dances of Western Europe – France, Spain, Germany, Italy, England, and Scotland.

Although centered on C16, we have occasional excursions into earlier or later music.
